It's looking like a CBC action day! It had to come sooner or later. This lockout is in many ways complicated. But some things are obvious. CBC is essential to my Canadian Culture. CBC promotes Canadian artistry. GO is a really good radio show. Contest Girl rox. As It Happens cracks me up. Terry MacLeod in the morning makes me happy. I check the CBC website 5 times a day. I'm sure you could add to my list. And that I have missed much. One other thing that is clear. I had a chance to look a CBC study that shows they are week in the 18-35 year old demographic of listeners. That they are worried about the diversity of thier programming. So... I'm going home to bake and decorate cupcakes tonight. This was inspired by the girls in Ottawa. Please feel free to join in bake some cupcakes and take them to your local locked out CBC employees to show support. If you can do it tomorrow please do that is when we will deliver ours and it would be cool to say this is bigger than just one person. I have emailed many of my friends. And to make it cooler those Ottawa girls have put together a wee blog so check it out. if you want to add something say so in the gbook and someone will et back to you. Oh and please write a letter to your MP, your local newspaper, Liza Frulla (Frulla.L@parl.gc.ca), the Prime Minister (pm@pm.gc.ca), CBC, and, in Ottawa, cc to lockedoutlive@gmail.com. |
