I am sure you find yourself to be in a similar position as I. With the words "Shut up, Rory" always on the edge of your tongue, or at least for one hour every Tuesday night. My confidence in this assumption is partially due to this which LP brought to my attention. It is at first quite enjoyable. Very 'ggesque', hip, cute and with just the right amount of dig. Rory is without a doubt becoming one of the most annoying characters on TV. And I appreciate TWoP calling her on it. But the more it lingers in my head, the more I begin to see the whole thing as grotesque. I was thinking how true it is that the Rory needs to be told to shut up. And then I was thinking how the show staff and producers would love the T-shirt. It is the kind of thing Lorelei would wear about her favorite TV character. Then I started wondering what if they purposely made Rory so annoying just to provoke such a T-shirt. And that thought made me really MAD. |
