I feel like for 30 years I have underestimated Halloween. I spoke to someone who has spent the last year planning the decorations to transform his small inner city yard into an ellaborate graveyard. He told me Halloween is way better than Christmas. I stood in a dark garden with bones sticking out around gravestones. Ghosts hanging in trees. A crazy tweety bird, spooky sound track and a scarecrow game all joined me. It was fun. Later I found 20 zombies roaming the streets of my neighbourhood. Chasing girls and scaring partiers through the pub windows. I've never dressed up as something creepy or scary and suddenly I feel left out. |
