Do you know that there is no amount of administration that can eliminate bad things from happening? Being careful is one thing. But thinking that there is a an ability to elimate all tragedy is wrong. We can call for action and he can say that some kind of new laws will change things if we just keep electing him. We can chant and cheer and roar, we can even stop traffic. But we can not protect innocence everywhere, we can't prevent pain. But we can have moments. Moments where we are safe and so is our neighbour. A moment when we indeed take back the night. And in that maybe there is hope, and maybe that means there is hope in all the futile things and maybe that counts for something |
