I think I have traditionally blogged about rememberance day, This is a holiday all of myself and both my sibblings seem to refer to on occasion as Novemberance Day.

It is a slightly odd day. I really do have respect for and admire the courage of soldiers. There is no doubt in me that the men and women of the army today and in the past fight with the truest of intetions and loyalty to a Country I love.

Yet it is the fight I can never really get over.

I believe their are many battles worth fighting. It is the weapons by which we fight that complicate it all for me.

And when I was in school first learning about remeberance day it all seemed like history, it was. (although I admit Viet Nam was not as ancient history as I would like to believe)

But now we have revived that History and joining the army holds a completely different meaning than it did when I left High School.

And the mothers laying wreaths for fallen sons are so much youngers. War Widows are younger than I am.

My admiration for bravery and truest sympathy for these peoples lost is not overshadowed.

Yet a bad taste remains and I wish they could all come home today.
